ACT Intern:

Location: Remote with occasional travel in Tennessee

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Social Work Intern to join our team at ACT, where our mission is to support folks seeking abortion care. The ideal candidate will assist in crucial community research, focusing on identifying and connecting with abortion friendly healthcare providers across Tennessee. This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients have access to compassionate, reliable, and accessible healthcare options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to identify and compile a comprehensive list of pro-abortion healthcare providers in Tennessee.

• Engage with local community organizations and healthcare facilities to gather information and establish connections.

• Assist in mapping and evaluating service accessibility and provider availability.

• Contribute to the development of resources and referral networks for clients.

• Support the team in developing outreach strategies and improving client support systems.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.

• Strong research and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.

• Commitment to reproductive rights and social justice.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
